Job Vision

The Database Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of Milestone Church’s data by monitoring data collection processes, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing data cleansing procedures. This role works closely with the Data Integrity team and the Associate Director to uphold data quality across systems and processes, specifically within the Rock RMS (Church Management Software). The Database Coordinator will also assist in system maintenance and staff training to maintain high standards of data integrity. 

Core Responsibilities

Data Integrity

  • Data Quality Monitoring: Regularly review and analyze data to identify inconsistencies, errors, duplicates, and outliers. Perform data cleansing as needed to ensure data quality. 

  • Data Risk Assessment: Identify potential data integrity risks, assess their impact, and develop proactive strategies to address data quality issues. 

  • System Maintenance: Create reports documenting data errors or inconsistencies for the Data Integrity team. Provide training, monitor team progress, and communicate any necessary updates to the accounting team for corrective action.

  • Assist in Data Integrity Projects: Collaborate with the Associate Director to oversee data integrity initiatives and assist in team training efforts to promote data quality best practices.

Rock RMS Support

  • Support Ticket Assistance: Assist team members with Rock RMS support tickets by providing detailed information, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that necessary database updates are made in a timely manner.

  • User Access Management: Assist in managing user access and permissions within Rock RMS, ensuring appropriate roles and security protocols are maintained.

  • System Integration Support: Work with the Rock RMS team and outsourced developers to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between Rock RMS and other systems or software.

  • Custom Report and Email Template Creation: Build custom reports and email templates in Rock RMS to support the needs of various teams, ensuring data is presented accurately and efficiently.

  • Training Support: Assist in creating training materials and provide hands-on training for staff and volunteers to maximize the use of Rock RMS.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share data integrity concerns and findings with team members, staff, and volunteers.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly learn and work in proprietary Church Management Software (Rock RMS) and Project Management Software.

  • Reporting Skills: Proficient in building reports and summarizing updates and training needs. Comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data issues.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Docs/Sheets.

  • Coding Knowledge: Familiarity of basic coding or software development concepts (Lava, SQL, HTML) is a bonus, but not essential for this role.
