Job Vision

The Database Coordinator plays a vital role in helping Milestone Church connect with and care for people by ensuring our data is accurate, consistent, and dependable. This role supports the mission by maintaining healthy systems—monitoring data collection, resolving discrepancies, and improving data quality. Working closely with the Data Integrity Team and Associate Director, the Database Coordinator helps strengthen our processes within Rock RMS (our Church Management Software) and assists with system support and staff training to promote excellence and confidence in how we steward information.

Core Responsibilities

Data Integrity

  • Keep our data clean and consistent. Regularly review records to spot and fix errors, duplicates, or missing information.

  • Protect data quality. Identify potential risks and develop simple, proactive ways to prevent future issues.

  • Support healthy systems. Track and report data inconsistencies, help communicate needed updates to teams, and support training so everyone enters information correctly.

  • Partner on improvement projects. Work alongside the Associate Director to strengthen data processes and champion best practices across departments.

Rock RMS Support

  • Help solve problems. Respond to Rock RMS support tickets, troubleshoot issues, and make sure updates are handled quickly and accurately.

  • Manage access and security. Assist in setting up and maintaining user permissions so everyone has the right level of access.

  • Connect systems. Collaborate with our Rock RMS team and developers to keep integrations running smoothly between platforms.

  • Build tools for others. Create custom reports and email templates that make it easier for staff to see and use the data they need.

  • Equip and train users. Help develop easy-to-follow training materials and guide staff or volunteers in how to get the most out of Rock RMS.

Traits of a Great Candidate

  • Detail-oriented and thorough. You notice small errors others might miss and take pride in keeping things accurate and organized.

  • Process-minded. You enjoy improving systems, creating consistency, and finding smarter ways to do repetitive tasks.

  • Tech-comfortable. You’re confident learning new software, navigating databases, and troubleshooting small tech issues.

  • Problem solver. When something doesn’t look right, you dig in, ask questions, and figure it out.

  • Collaborative. You like working with people and can explain technical things in clear, simple terms.

  • Trustworthy and discreet. You understand that handling personal and church information requires a high level of integrity.

  • Learner. You’re naturally curious and eager to keep improving both your skills and the systems you work with.

  • Mission-driven. You care about people and want to use your skills behind the scenes to help ministry happen more effectively.
