Job Vision
The Childcare Worker is an essential role in providing a safe, nurturing and memorable environment for children ranging from ages 6 weeks to 2 years old. The ideal candidate is a nurturing and dependable early childhood caregiver with a passion for helping young children grow in a safe, faith-centered environment. They are deeply aligned with the values and beliefs of Milestone Church and demonstrate spiritual maturity in both personal and professional life.
Core Responsibilities
Child Engagement & Care: Provide age-appropriate care for children ages 6 weeks to 2 years old, ensuring a physically and emotionally safe environment. Greet children and families with warmth and create a welcoming, Christ-centered atmosphere. Support children's spiritual, emotional, and developmental growth through guided play, intentional interactions, and nurturing care.
Program Execution & Environment: Follow classroom schedules and implement learning experiences as outlined by the ministry leaders. Ensure room readiness before and after program hours, including sanitation of toys, surfaces, and shared spaces. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that fosters learning and safety.
Health & Safety Oversight: Monitor and address children’s behavioral, health, and emotional needs, documenting and reporting concerns to leadership and parents. Implement all health, hygiene, and safety protocols in accordance with Milestone Church standards. Participate in required safety trainings and ensure compliance with childcare policies.
Parent Partnership: Maintain open, respectful, and faith-aligned communication with families to build confidence and trust in the program.
Team Collaboration & Development: Collaborate with other childcare providers and Milestone staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care. Participate in recurring team meetings, annual training, and professional development. Contribute to a positive, mission-focused team culture.
Spiritual Leadership: Model biblical values and a vibrant personal faith consistent with Milestone Church beliefs. Support spiritual growth for children, families, and fellow team members by engaging with church-wide initiatives such as Growth Track and Freedom Ministry.
Traits of a Great Candidate
Minimum of 2 years experience working with children ages 2 years and under.
Vibrant, mature Christian faith aligned with Milestone Church's mission and values.
Regular attendance at Milestone Church, including participation in at least one weekend service.
Goal-oriented with excellent administrative and relational skills.
Dependable, flexible, and calm under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
